
1953 – Founded by Clifford Bousada in Cowansville, Quebec. Store sells appliances, television sets and furniture.
1969 – Clifford Bousada retires and his son, Clifford Bousada Jr., takes over the business.
1978 – Flooring (mainly carpeting) is introduced into product offering.
1982 – Business expands into the commercial market.
1992 – Cowansville store burns down. Business moves to temporary rental location.
1996 – Reed Bousada, son of Clifford Bousada Jr., takes over business. Business moves to new store in Knowlton, Quebec.
2001 – Launch Ontario division. Furniture store opens in Knowlton.
2002 – Partner with Groupe Melior. Commercial business begins focusing on senior residence market.
2003 – New flooring retail space opens in Knowlton.
2006 – Ontario division opens state-of-the-art flooring gallery in downtown Toronto.
Coming Up...2007 – Furniture business relocates to join flooring business in large renovated retail space in Knowlton. |
