Description:
This brand new Casino, designed in a joint venture between Page + Steele Architects and Ramp Design features a new Gaming and Bingo facility, over 600 slot machines, table games, a high rollers area and several fine restaurants. Bousada was pleased to take part in this project that allowed us to showcase our strength of offering design and technical assistance to the Casino team.
Job Details:
- 84,000 sq. ft. of new flooring materials
- Custom carpet tile in gaming areas with under-floor lighting inserts
- Large format porcelain tile in washrooms
- Custom fabrication of stone countertops with mosaic glass inserts
- Sheet vinyl with flash cover in the commercial kitchen
Project Challenges to Overcome:
- Assisted designer in selecting materials and lay-outs
- Provided detailed budgets to design team and client
- Large scale job in a different province
- Provided technical assistance for installation and material selection
Background:
Part of the frantic building activity currently transforming south western Calgary is a structure that will be home to the city's newest, largest and most spectacular entertainment venue. Grey Eagle Casino & Bingo. This fantastic venue opened Winter 2007. |
