Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered wood is a wood floor alternative made of a thin top layer of real hardwood over core layers of fiberboard. This product is especially effective over concrete floors or over a heated floor system. Bousada offers approximately 30 lines and 400 samples of engineered wood flooring.

Here are some key points to know about this material:

• Can achieve a variety of looks because so many species, textures, colours and stains are available
• Like hardwood flooring, the natural look creates a warm environment

• Can be installed directly over concrete floors (hardwood flooring needs a plywood sub-floor)
• Less prone to humidity-induced warping and shrinkage than hardwood
• Can be re-sanded and refinished like hardwood (but only 2-3 times)
• Can install floor heating underneath

• Residential interiors, ideal for hallways, common areas, bedrooms and kitchens
